Founded in 2004, Blue Group Media's roots formed much earlier. 

 

The indelible core: 

Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine and Departures.

 

1992:  Globe Media, Inc.  

The largest independently owned advertising sales representation firm in the U.S. - attracts new talent as they open a Miami office.  Jill Stone is brought on board in sales, handling clients throughout Florida and the Caribbean.  Among Globe Media's portfolio - The New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Financial Times, and American Express Publishing’s Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine and Departures.  

1995:  Globe Media names Jill Stone Branch Manager 

Responsible for sales, oversight and management within Florida and the Caribbean, where she runs the most profitable branch in the network. 

 1997:  Globe Media is sold to Publicitas

A multinational communications corporation based in Switzerland,  purchases the company.  Jill  continues as Regional Director for seven years, overseeing the expansive portfolio of U.S. and International brands.   

2004:  Blue Group Media launches

Together with our founding partner, American Express Publishingand many talented individuals, including Eric Davis, Vice President and Partner, who opened the door to our expansion in Central and South America.  Jill credits working for innovators like George Mackin (founder of Globe Media) and a highly talented and respected management team across American Express Publishing, for her strong foundation of inspired service, knowledge and moxie.
